Introduction to Easy Workflow
Using Easy Workflow you can perform the following tasks:
- Design workflows and templates to better manage your data.
- Manage users, groups, and workflows directly from Excel in Easy Workflow Cockpit.
- Create workflow definitions with all the steps that integrates email notifications and business logic with fewer clicks. Workflow monitoring and reporting is also done from Excel.
- Maintain out-of-office status from Excel dynamically to make sure that any work item is automatically reassigned to a substitute user.
- Customize all email templates and notifications sent during workflow process.
You can design and manage Easy Workflow directly in Microsoft Excel. The following illustration depicts how Easy Workflow works.

A: User selects existing template or Excel file, and then selects Start Workflow from Excel using Process Runner Excel Add-in.
B: Easy Workflow system uploads Excel file to Easy Workflow database and creates work item by starting the workflow on it. Email notification is also sent to the recipient notifying that new work item is waiting in the Inbox in Excel.
C: As each step is approved or rejected, the workflow will progress. Different users who are part of the workflow steps can have various responsibilities as defined in workflow. Some will only add data, others will approve, and some will interact with SAP to create, change, query, and finally complete the workflow.
