If you do not prefer to create a Logon Shortcut then Process Runner will ask for Login credentials on every run. 1. When you click on Run button in toolbar iNetConnector window will pop-up asking you to select the target Server/Group in which you want to run the file.
2. Clicking on Logon will take you to the respective login credential screen. a. Client: The client to be used for the target SAP Server. b. User: Username. c. Password: password to be used for the target SAP system. d. Language: Language code for SAP GUI. EN is for English. e. Save as Logon Shortcut: You can enable this option to save the current login credentials and later use it as a logon shortcut. f. Remember this information: This login information will be saved for the active Process Runner session. g. Password is case sensitive (ECC6): SAP Versions since ECC6 now accept case sensitive passwords. This option will ensure that the password is case sensitive. h. System: This will display the Server list in iNetConnector Window. You can select and change the system for which you want to run the file. ** You will have to provide the login credentials as per the target SAP Server.
3. Finally, with all correct authentication information in place clicking on OK will authenticate you and will start running the file.
Advance SAP Logon properties You can also view advance properties for a server. In iNetConnector window, select the server and click on properties.
Or click on the advance properties icon in SAP Logon for that server. In the Settings tab, you can see advance settings will be explained in-depth now. Basic settings: 1. Client: The client number for target SAP system. 2. Language: Language code to be used 3. EP: If you are using Enterprise Portal, this field will contain the link used for that.
Advance Settings: 1. Get Descriptions: This option will be turned ON automatically if the user has authorization to get field descriptions from SAP for that particular SAP system. Process Runner will try Method 1 and then Method 2 to retrieve Descriptions. If it’s unable to retrieve descriptions even after Method 2, it will turn off this option. ** If the user doesn’t have authorizations (it means this option will be turned off) to retrieve descriptions for the target SAP system and then he is reassigned legit authorizations than he will have to manually turn on the “Get Descriptions” from here in order to get field descriptions.
2. Force CTC: If the user doesn’t have necessary authorizations to run a transaction effectively then Process Runner will suggest turning on “Force CTC” ON.
3. Transaction Messages: Similar to “Get Descriptions” this option works on a per SAP server/system basis. If it’s turned off for a user on a specific SAP system he/she would have to manually turn it ON. Process Runner will try retrieving messages through different methods. If it fails it means user doesn’t have required authorizations and will suggest you to turn ON “Force CTC”.
4. Use Fixed Structure: This is also an automatic switch which is turned on when basic authenticity to Run Process Runner for SAP is not available. Similar to 1 this too is a feature which will be turned OFF depending on the authorization right to the user for the target the SAP system. In next tab, it will display the default settings for the Server. These information is for view only purpose.
