Users can perform all excel operations from iBook of Process Runner. User can also use any external file as a data source. While using iBook/External Excel in Process Runner, user may encounter some errors/issues. These issues are caused as a result of uninstalling older version of Microsoft Office 365 and upgrade to latest version of Microsoft Office 365. This type of upgrade process fails to update the registry and such issues are caused. This section will provide guidelines to troubleshoot problems and possible instructions to correct them.
Note: Process Runner will work only with locally installed Microsoft Office 365.
Suggested Solution: Follow the steps given below to resolve the errors related to iBook/External Excel in Process Runner.
1.Close all the sessions of Process Runner. 2.Start Excel as you would normally start. 3.In case if 'Document Recovery Pane' is displayed in excel, please recover all the files. 4.Exit all the instances of Excel. 5.Go to 'Task Manager' (CTRL + ALT + DELETE and select Task Manager). Go to Processes tab. 6.Ensure that there is no Excel or Process Runner instance is running. If so, select “Excel.exe” or “ProR.exe” and click on “End Process”. 7.Start the Process Runner and enable 'Always open new Excel instance for external Excel' and 'Always open new Excel instance for iBook' functionality from Options. 8.Make sure to perform the steps mentioned in the image below.
9.After applying the above settings, start Process Runner and check the following: a.External issues related to Excel are resolved or not b.iBook is functioning appropriately or not.
If the issue is still encountered, then kindly follow the steps mentioned below: i.Click Start and go to Control Panel through search option. ii.Double Click Programs and Features. iii.Right-Click on Microsoft Office 365, and then select 'Change'. iv.On the office dialogue box, Select 'Online Repair' and Click on 'Repair'
