Managing User Roles
User roles are used to create a set of specific rights or authorizations, and then the role can be assigned to the users. The following default roles are available:
- Admin Role: Indicates that the users with this role have all the rights to manage Easy Workflow such as logging on to Easy Workflow Cockpit, starting workflows, viewing reports, creating SAP logon shortcut, and archiving workflow items.
- Standard Role: Indicates that the users with this role can start a workflow and can be assigned workflow steps.
- Manager Role: Indicates that the users with this role can log on to Easy Workflow Cockpit; view reports, workflow items, and workflow item Excel history of other users; open file from EShare; and view and download supporting documents of other users.
- Designer Role: Indicates that the users with this role can log on to Easy Workflow Cockpit; design and implement workflows; and perform other tasks except for completing workflows and viewing other user's logs.
- Configuration Role: Indicates that the users with this role can log on to Easy Workflow Cockpit; manage users, groups, roles, email templates, and workflow definitions; and use other user's shared SAP logon shortcut in a workflow step.
You can use the Export to Excel option to export the details about the user roles, such as when and who last updated the user role, to an Excel workbook. You can use the Show Filter Row option to filter data by entering text in a column and the Show Find Panel option, which is available when you right-click a column header, to search for text in the User Roles window. Also, you can right-click the column header and customize the columns that appear in the User Roles window using the Column Chooser or Hide This Column options.
