Process Runner DB provides different mapping types in Mapper to customize recording based on the data .Mapper settings & mapping types are based on the process file (Transaction, BAPI/RFM,GUI Script and Data Extractor)

Mapping types in transaction are more diverse which allow you to make your recording more flexible.

These mapping types deal with single line records.

 

Mapping types_TX

 

1. DS to SAP: Tells Process Runner DB to get the value from database.

2. SAP to DS: Tells Process Runner DB to place value received from SAP to given database.

3. Fix Single Value: Tells Process Runner DB to use value provided in "Map Value" column

4. System Value: Tells Process Runner DB to use dynamically calculated value as provided in "Map Value" column

 

There are mapping types to deal with multi-line (Header detail) documents by using loops. Please expand the below 'Transaction Header Detail' section to know more on this.

Mapping type_TX_Header detail

There are 2 different ways to tell Process Runner DB how your data is organized for multi line document. Different mapping type allows using data as you have - without forcing you to change them.

Notes: 1. There are two fields to map for Header-Detail looping - one is Block Type and another is Block Value. These two fields are over and above regular mapping fields. These fields are used together to tell Process Runner DB how data is arranged.

2. You maintain "Block Type" and "Block Value" in same row as "Start Loop".

 

In this type, you know that number of detail rows are always fix, say 2 rows

TX_header_Detail

Mapping should look like:

In this type, Process Runner DB automatically determines new transaction when value changes. For example, you have Document number repeated for each line in column E, you can use this mapping type and every time there is new Document number, Process Runner DB will start a new Header-Detail transaction automatically.
