Process Runner DB introduces a new feature named Collective Run which enables an user to run multiple process files in a single instance of Process Runner DB. Collective Run window allows you to manage these process files by letting users to add, order, modify and delete the process files.
Refer the below sections on how to create a Collective Run file,as well as, highlight different functionality.
Follow the below mentioned steps to create a Collective Run. 1.Start Process Runner DB, click on the 'Tools' menu and select 'Collective Run'. The Collective Run window is displayed. 2.Click on 'New' button -> 'Create New Collective Run' window gets displayed. 3.Click on 'Add File' button to add process files. Users can add files present in their local system and also if the files are present at central location using 'Local' and 'EShare' option.
4.You can select the logon shortcut file to be used for the execution of collective process files, however this is optional. If 'Use this Logon Shortcut file' is not selected and no Auto Logon File is set for individual files, then logon popup will appear before each process file is executed. Please note that addition of duplicate process files in collective run allowed with different logon shortcut.
5.Check mark the ‘Validating existing files before run’ option in validating settings to validate collective run collection of files. •Stop if file is missing: Check this radio button to stop the collective run execution if any process file is missing. •Stop on first error:Check this radio button to stop the collective run execution if any error occurs
6.Check mark the ‘Close last file after Collective Run execution ends’ option to close last file after execution.
7.After adding the process files for execution, click on ‘Save’ button to save the collection of files. The file for Collective Run is created.

Once the collective run files are created, you will be able to open these files for Run. Click on 'Run' for the file selected. All the process files present in the collective run file will be executed. The 'Run Status' column will display the result post run.

Click on Edit to modify the run, by adding more files, deleting files, changing order, etc...

Collective Run file can be deleted by clicking on 'Delete'.

Collective run files can be scheduled to run in the Task Scheduler. Use the Task Scheduler wizard to create a task that opens the Process Runner DB automatically according to the schedule selected. 1.Open Task Scheduler by clicking the Start button -> clicking Control Panel -> click System and Security -> clicking Administrative Tools, and then click Schedule Tasks. 2.Click the Action menu, and then click Create Task... 3.Type a name for the task and optional description. 4.Go to Triggers tab, click on New button and select schedule as per your requirement based on the calendar( Daily, Weekly, Monthly or One Time), based on recurring events or specific events (On log on, Start up etc..).
5.Go to 'Actions' tab, click on New button and provide the details to find the program to start. Make sure to verify the path of Process Runner DB and Collective run file are correct. •Program/Script: Click Browse, locate and click the Process Runner DB executable file (ProrDB.exe) you want and click Open .The path usually is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Innowera\Process Runner DB\ProRDB.exe". •Add arguments(optional): Specify the collective run file to be scheduled for run in format specified below. "C:\Users\testuser\Documents\Innowera\Collective Runs\Test_ProRDB.icd" |AutoRun=true |LogonFile=""|ProRSource="1" •Start in (optional): Enter the path where Process Runner DB is installed. This is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Innowera\Process Runner DB 6.Click OK button in Create Task wizard to finish. |
