View Key Values in Dropdown List in SAP GUI

Key values are configured for each value in the SAP GUI list. Key values are uploaded to Excel from SAP. These key values may not be visible when the user runs a transaction. During the recording Process Runner always records key values and not the descriptive text.

Note: Key values are language independent. Irrespective of the language used in SAP GUI, the key values remain same.

To view the key values in the dropdown list in SAP GUI

  1. Open SAP Logon. The logon page is displayed.
  2. Select the hamburger menu icon available on the upper-left corner of the page and select Options. The SAP GUI Options – SAP Logon window is displayed.
  3. Select Interaction Design > Visualization 1.
  4. In Controls, select Show keys within dropdown lists, and select OK.
