Configure Process File Settings

This topic describes how to use the Process Files Settings option in the Process Files window to configure the settings for a Process file.

To configure the Process file settings

  1. In Process Runner Excel Add-in, on the Process Runner tab, select Process Files. The Process Files window is displayed.
  2. Select the Process file for which you want to configure the settings and select Process File Settings. The Settings window is displayed with the following information:
    • Process file: Displays the name of the embedded Process file.
    • Process file source: Displays the source of the Process file.
    • Added as: Displays how the EShare file is saved in Excel.
    • Object Name: Displays the object name of the Process file.
  3. In the Basic Settings tab, enter the following information:
    • Display name: Indicates the text that is displayed in the Process(es) drop-down menu.
    • Display tooltip: Indicates the tooltip that is displayed.
    • Display order: Indicates the order in which this processes are displayed in the Process(es) drop-down menu.
    • Run on Open: Indicates that the file is automatically run when it is opened.
    • Lock to worksheet: Indicates that the Process file can be run only when the user is in the specified sheet in Excel file.
    • Show process in process list: Indicates that the Process file name is displayed in the Process(es) drop-down menu.
    • Hide all follow up process: Indicates that if the selected Process file has connected files(s), only the master Process file is displayed but all downstream process(s) are not displayed in the Process(es) drop-down menu.
    • Show only in this worksheet: Indicates that this Process file is displayed only in the locked worksheet in the Process(es) drop-down menu.
    • Auto execute Attachment or similar Process: Indicates that a specified process is run after this Process file is run. This option can be used to automatically run attached Process files after each upload. Also, it is used to create a Process file for desired function and then specify that Process file here.
      • Process file: Indicates the Process file that is automatically run after each upload.
      • File source: Indicates the source of the Process file.
      • Attached as: Indicates how the EShare file is saved in Excel.
      • Run after current process file: Indicates that the attached Process file is run after the current Process file.
      • Run after end of all downstream processes: Indicates that the attached Process file is run after the end of all the downstream Process files.
      • Run after each downstream process: Indicates that the attached Process file is run after the end of each downstream Process files.
      • In current process file only: Indicates that the current Process file run is stopped.
      • In current/any downstream process files: Indicates that the current or any downstream Process file runs are stopped.
  4. In the Dynamic Process Button Settings tab, select Display as a separate Run process button and Display as a separate Test Run process button, enter the required information in the Display Name and Display Tooltip boxes, and select an image. Separate buttons are created for Run and Test Run on the Process Runner tab under the default group name Processes to run the Process file from the ribbon menu, instead of selecting the option from the Parameters group on the tab. By default, you can add the run options for five Process files.
  5. Select Ok. The settings are saved.
