Chapter3: How to enable Trust Access to VBA Projects

To make sure that Excel is able to run the Visual Basic macros in the workbooks and add-in, security must be properly set.Trusting access to the VBA project object model enables the add-ins to function properly and is a critical setting. Many problems with Excel add-ins are rooted in the failure to trust access.

 

Follow the instructions below to enable Trust access to the VBA project option for  the different versions of Excel.

1.Start Microsoft Excel.

2.Click on File menu.

3.Click Options under File menu.

4.Click Trust Center --> Trust Center Settings.

5.Click  Macro Settings and Enable/Select “Trust access to the VBA project object model” .

6.Finish configuring Excel by clicking OK at the Trust Center and Excel's 'Option dialog box'.

6.Finish configuring Excel by clicking OK at the Trust Center and Excel's Option dialog box.

2.  Click on Office button if top left corner.

3.  In it, click on Excel Options from bottom-right.

4.  Select “Trust Center” & click on “Trust Center Settings..” as exhibited below.

5.  In Trust Center, click on “Macro Settings” and Enable/Select “Trust access to the VBA project object model” .
