When encountering error message similar to mentioned below, please follow below instructions.
Background Information/Cause:
This issue occurs when some change are made on Network side, either some ports are closed or some new one are opened. Due this change you will receive this error.
Suggested Solutions:
Please check and ensure that saplogon.ini file path in SAP system is same as in Process Runner Innowera Connector for SAP saplogon.ini file path.
Steps to check the saplogon.ini file path in SAP System are as follow: I.Start SAP Logon and click on ‘Options’.
II.In SAP GUI options window, click on SAP Logon Options >> Configuration files and check the path mentioned for ‘Connection’ type as shown in below screenshot.
Steps to check the saplogon.ini file path in Process Runner are as follow: I.Start Process Runner and click on Logon pad.
II.In Innowera Connector for SAP window, click on ‘Advanced’ tab and make sure that “saplogon.ini” path is same as found in SAP System. If not, then click on browse option and change the path. However the above step is implemented only in cases when location of the required file is known to the user. In case if the location of the SNC Lib file is not known, user can implement the Search functionality by clicking on the search icon as represented in the image below.

Check if ‘Message Server’ has been changed in SAP system properties. To check ‘Message Server’ follows below steps. 1.Click on ‘Start’ button from Windows. 2.Type ‘SAP Logon’ in search box. 3.Select the SAP system in which you are facing issue and click on ‘Edit’ option.
4.If you see Error saying ‘Message Server has been changed; to save all updates choose OK’. Click ‘OK’. Note: Once you click ‘OK’ Instance Number: will change in SAP.
5.Open Process Runner click on ‘SAP Shortcut’ from ‘Tools’ options in Home menu.
6.Select the targeted SAP system and click ‘Refresh’ and Click on ‘Properties’.
7.Check if the client and language is provided and if not provide, then ensure to provide Client number as well as Language.
8.Then on 'Properties' window, Go to 'Logon.ini values' tab and check if Auto Switch checkbox is active or not. If not, then ensure to activate it and switch the Method i.e. if Method 1 is selected, then change it to Method 2 and vice-versa.
9.Try to ‘Run’ your process file normally and see if issue is resolved. |
