Send Access Request for Process, SAP System to Control Panel

This topic describes how to send access requests for Processes and SAP systems to Control Panel administrator. When the auto-assign setting is not selected for you in Control Panel, you require access permissions for Processes and SAP systems to use them.

To send access request for Process file and SAP system

  1. In Process Runner, open, record or run a Process file using an SAP system.
  2. If you do not have access permission for the Process or SAP system, the Process Missing Authorization or SAP System Missing Authorization dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select Send Request. The Send Approval Request dialog box is displayed.
  4. Note: The Send Request button in the Missing Authorization dialog box is available only when Enable approval control option is selected in the Global Controls > Control Settings section of Control Panel.

  5. Optionally, to check your access permissions for Processes and SAP systems, select the Check User Access Right. The Check Access Rights page is displayed.
  6. Optionally, enter a note for the access request.
  7. Select Send Request > OK. The request is sent successfully and is listed in the Pending Approval page of the Control Panel administrator's instance. Also, an email notification is sent to the administrator.
  8. Note: If you try to use the Process or SAP system before the access request is approved, an error message is displayed to indicate that the request was already sent to the Control Panel administrator and is waiting for approval.

  9. To send a reminder for the access requests, open, record or run a Process file, on Missing Authorization page, select Send Reminder > OK. An email notification reminder is sent to the Control Panel administrator.
