Generating Excel Add-in Ready file through Process Runner

Process Runner Excel Add-In brings unbelievably easy and smart way to use SAP directly from Excel without having to use any other application.  You can share Excel Add-In Ready file with other users who have Excel Add-In installed on his/her system. All these users can run this file without installing Process Runner on their system. To use Excel Add-In, users need to save the process file as Excel Add-in Ready file using Process Runner and then run the saved process file from Excel Add-In.

 

Please note that users having Process Runner Designer License can generate Excel Add-In file and users having Process Runner Run Only license cannot generate or save the process file in Excel Add-In.

 

Below are the steps for generating the Excel Add-In File through Process Runner.

 

1.Open the Process file in Process Runner which you want to run in MS Excel.

 

2.Go to File Menu and click on “Save as Excel Add-in Ready File… ” or click on arrow beside the Generate Template button to select  Save as Excel Add-in Ready File.

3.In the 'Generate Excel Add-in Ready file' pop up window, select the process file and click on Generate button as shown in the image below.

4.Save the Excel file at the desired location with . xlsx extension and click OK.

5.You can now close the Process Runner and and start a new Excel instance.

 

6.Click on the Process Runner tab on the Excel Menu bar and open the saved Excel file as shown in below image.

7.Click on Run icon Run_icon to run the file and enter valid SAP logon credentials.

You can also chain  multiple process files in Process Runner and run in Excel Add-in.
